Te Paki Sand Dunes, Cape Reinga, 2019
The Te Paki Sand Dunes are in constant flux at the Northern tip of New Zealand. The winds forever change their shape generating this natural shifting sculpture of a landscape.
This photograph was made at 3am under a full moon. The desert landscape was lit almost like studio lighting as I stumbled my way through the dense sands. It was a surreal landscape and one that I am unlikely to forget. I am very likely to visit again to see what new natural forms await.
