Lion Rock, Piha, 2019
This photograph is one of a series in a photo shoot at Piha in early 2019. A friend and I spent an evening like several others in what came to be known as our ‘foto phridays’, where we would venture out into the Waitakere Ranges on a Summer Friday evening to shoot the beach that we chose for the week.
This was one of the last shots that I made that evening. The sun had been down for a good hour or two at this stage. A high ISO was needed, creating the grainy effect. To capture such an iconic landmark in the West on a star studded evening, I was delighted with this result.
